i was very proud of you for taking care of yourself last night and heading off to bed when you needed to...learning to respect/honour our bodies is  important....don't wait till you are my age to figure that one out...it's much harder to change things about ourselves as we get older...i enjoyed helping you clean your room, and i enjoyed shopping with you...i didn't really enjoy you freaking out in the change room, but hey?! at least the shopping was adventuresome...so here is your list of possible job options:

Dear Hannah,

I disagree! Nothing is too hard if we decide it is important enough! Maybe this is a case of important for mom but not for Hannah...sometimes I worry about you not taking care of yourself so well. I worry that maybe you have watched me not take care of myself so you don't feel it is important...but really, it is important to eat right and exercise and take our vitamins and love our bodies and our minds....you have a whole big exciting life full of adventure and importance and love ahead of you and I want you to be the best you can be!
Take the challenge, just do easier, older workouts that you are familiar with! OR! make up a challenge and invite me and see if I can do yours:) I love you sweet pea, and want these next few years together to be full of love and respect , not grumpy exchanges....please...??

You are so tired lately! What's up? Do you think that it is just the general weariness of being 13 or perhaps are you not getting enough rest? How about vitamins??? I respect your decision to be a vegetarian but I also expect you to take proper care of yourself! I have noticed that since I have cut meat out of my diet sometimes my brain feels a little foggy or I am a wee bit more grumpy than I used to be. Perhaps we need to add daily vitamin taking to our daily wii fitting?! If you need a sleep day, be sure to let me know and book it for a day where there isn't much going on. Thank for being cool with me hanging out at your girls' night last night. I think it is great that we can have fun together and that your school friends are so accepting of me being with you and with them. Today at work/school I remembered again how fortunate I am to be able to spend my days in the same place as you...we are able to have many small moments of connection all through the day and then in the evening as well...that is a rare treat:) I appreciate that in all the years that we have spent in the same place, with your friends and teachers, you never seem to be embarrased by me, or awkward around me...I am grateful that I know your friends, and enemies ( not that you have many or any of those) and that most of your teachers I would call my friends. Maybe shopping? Seriously, your clothes already don't all fit into their drawers...you make me laugh! I think that if we are going to go shopping it should be for your poor mother's pitiful wardrobe...and then of course you can just borrow everything like you already do!! I am glad that Mrs. Turner told me it is very normal for girls to borrow clothes from their sisters and mom. Being I didn't grow up with any sisters I was missing this vital piece of information and couldn't figure out why you kept raiding my closet...but now I know...sometimes I am sorry that you don't have a sister to call your own but sometimes I am glad because I can imagine that along with sharing of clothes there must also be alot of bickering between sisters as well...anyhow, it's the weekend...i am trusting you to make wise choices at youth group tonight:)

I was disappointed on Friday night with your behaviour. This is hard for me to tell you and hard for you to hear I know. I am grateful that we are able to talk about things when they are not going well but I can't really tell how much you are understanding and how much you believe that I love you enough to place limits on your activities...As you face choices you need to always remember that short term fun often does not equal long term peace. We will often do something, not even thinking of what could happen...because at the moment it doesn't seem like such a big deal...if there is a twinge in your heart, a murmering in your spirit...please listen to it! Trust the wise cousel of those around you with experience and love. Be caution when chosing to participate in sneakery or lies...even if you are just the bystander...honour truth!! wow! lot's of letters for me while I was away. Do you really still miss me when I am away? You look like you have been super busy, hanging out with your brother, and your friends and Owen. Fun times I think! It felt strange to come home from being away, and find you not home. It was another one of the many reminders I am seeing, that you are most certainly a teenager!!!! Teenage girls aren't often home on Friday nights I guess. I am very thankful that when you are out, I know exactly where you are and what you are doing....going to youth! and worshiping and learning! It's Sunday morning and you are at your dad's house. I miss you when you are gone; the house seems too quiet and still without you. That is the selfish mom talking though. I am very proud of the fact that you have maintained a strong relationship with your dad. I am proud of you for giving up a part of your weekend to spend it with him, even though it means giving up things that you would sometimes rather do. I love that you have the ability to love so many people with such abandonment  and genuine affection! some times these day i feel like just dropping out being it does seem very convinenent !!!!!
the only reason i go is so i can get  good grades and go to a different school!!!!
