i was thinking about you today...

the day after your birthday and i was struck by the fact that i really really love being your mom...alot:)

So a year ago we thought we could blog every day to each other. But there was homework and dishes, and appointments and tiredness and facebook and cafe world. somedays there was sleeping, getting sick, TV shows, laundry and dishes. Other days we didn't blog because there were shopping dates and coffee dates and library dates and walking dates for us to go on. I love that we call them dates:) I love that during this past year we have run the roller coaster of being 13 and 42 together. I love that we have had days where our rage and anger are quickly followed by tears and apology and restitution. I love that everyday we tell each other that we love each other. I love your textd that come throughout the day, I love that we still raid each other's closets, I love that we choose to spend time together because we want to not because we have to.
Am I sorry our project didn't work out as planned? I am because it would have been an amazing record of a year of our lives. However, I am grateful that we have a relationship that doesn't mabye have time for daily blogging because it is full or relationship. I am honoured to be your mother. I am blessed by you every day. Each and every day I thank God for you and hold you in my heart. So happy birthday Hannah. And, when we feel like it we could still blog to each other now and then but my guess is we will be too busy hanging out on the couch, or working on homework or going to the mall to spend much time here.  i cant wait for saturday! it is going to be so fun! i definitly am excited for surfing :) it sucks that we cant go to vancouver but we can do other fun stuff. i am already half way through my book! i can tell it has been a long time before i read it before because i forgot alot of it ! but i am happy that i could find it again at the library. i love you

Dear hannah,

you are always so vague and cheerful in your posts to me, full of thank you's and excitement...i am feeling very terrible about the ugly words I spoke to you earlier, at far too loud a decible...i appreciate that you forgave me so quickly and i am grateful that i love you so much that as soon as i was done raving, i burst into hot, sad, tears, reminding me that i did not behave as a mother should. being a teenager is hard, being a mom is hard, it feels like life is hard right now to me. However, I am very glad that we are in this "hard time" together...i love you miss hannah, from the bottom of my heart...

Remember when we thought we would be able to write a letter to each other every day:) I am so pleased that you are involved in the drama/singing/dancing program!
